About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and well-organised Freight Forwarding / Logistics Administrator to support a busy transport and logistics operation. This is a key office-based role responsible for the day-to-day administration of road freight movements between the UK and Europe, including full loads, part loads and time-critical shipments.

You will work closely with customers, hauliers and internal teams to ensure shipments are accurately processed, tracked and completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creating and managing freight bookings from start to finish
  • Preparing and processing transport and shipping documentation
  • Liaising with customers, drivers, hauliers and overseas partners
  • Tracking shipments and providing updates to customers
  • Supporting customs and delivery paperwork where required
  • Raising and checking invoices and assisting with billing queries
  • Maintaining accurate records on internal systems and spreadsheets
  • Handling general office administration, emails and telephone enquiries
  • Chasing PODs and outstanding documentation
Requirements
  • Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics or transport administration is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
  • Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
  • Experience with transport or freight systems is advantageous
  • Proactive, reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team
