About the role

Fantastic opportunity to join the Franchise Team, working with the Franchise Portfolio Manager, in leading the transformation and growth of the Franchise store estate. This is a permanent role which is nationally field based.

Key responsibilities
  • Reporting into the Franchise Portfolio Manager, the role is required to create efficiencies within the current process and improve ways of working.
  • This commercially critical new role will deliver c100 portfolio (store) ownership changes in both Franchise & Core stores, and new store openings, aligning to the Franchise growth goals.
  • A key responsibility of this role is negotiating the terms of the purchase agreements with a combination of internal and external potential partners.
  • Working to clear timescales, this role will be responsible for supporting in the creation and review of business plans with partners.
  • This is a great opportunity for someone who questions the status quo, ability to influence key stakeholders and can influence change across the wider business.
  • Role includes the creation of strategic and regular updates across all levels within the business.
What you'll need to have
  • Significant understanding of Franchise contracts, processes, commercial and estate contracts and processes.
  • Significant exposure to Franchise, JV and Company owned business models especially in Opticians transformational change within a cross‑functional team Commercially astute.
  • Significant financial understanding of Finance, P&L, cash‑flow, business development, ROI and business management.
  • Experience of analysing and providing solutions at pace, and challenge the business where required.
  • Comfortable in negotiations and financial contracts
  • Ability to balance autonomy with being highly accountable and resilient.
  • Build relationships and influence internally and externally.
It would be great if you also have
  • Understanding of opticians business.
  • Previous experience of working within a Franchise Business.
