Qualifications

  • Good technical accounting knowledge is essential.
  • Prior experience in hospitality, leisure or retail industry is desirable.
  • Ability to drill into and understand numbers.

Job description
Job Purpose :

As FP&A Analyst, you'll facilitate and deliver proactive reporting, analysis, business and decision support for the FP&A team and the wider business. You will Support Finance in delivering the annual budget process and challenging the UK & Ireland business through effective insight and analysis.

Key Accountabilities :
  • Understand and deliver accurate revenue recognition reporting, including subscription and loyalty scheme accounting processes
  • Facilitate accurate COGS reporting, involving collaboration with the Operations team around stock and wastage
  • Support the UK&I forecasting process, including weekly trade reviews and quarterly rolling forecasts
  • Work with the wider Finance and Operations teams to provide analysis and insight on financial performance specifically targeting cost base
  • Support FP&A manager in delivering the annual budget process including working with Group Finance and territory stakeholders
  • Work closely with Group Finance on Hyperion Reporting and any Mapping issues
  • Ad-hoc support on financial performance analysis
Key Skills :
  • Part-qualified accountant with good technical accounting knowledge is essential
  • Prior experience gained within the hospitality, leisure or retail industry is desirable
  • Highly analytical, able to drill into and understand the numbers
  • Great communicator, both with finance and non finance colleagues
  • Great relationship builder, to become a trusted advisor to their business unit
