FP&A Accountant | Magherafelt | Part Time

Part Time | Permanent | Hybrid | Newly Created Position | Manufacturing

Reed is partnered with a highly successful, award-winning group of businesses in the Magherafelt area, in the appointment of a part-time FP&A Accountant.

We seek to appoint a passionate and commercially minded Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant to join their growing team and support the current growth as they expand and develop their presence in international markets.

The role

As FP&A Accountant, you will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and strategic planning to support the business. Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Understanding financial performance, driving and tracking actions to deliver strategic priorities and key targets
  • Providing in-depth profitability analysis to identify opportunity, risk, and inform strategic decisions
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process across the business, liaising with key departments to deliver accurate annual and quarterly business plans
  • Support on specific projects to understand and track financial impacts
  • Financial analysis for new opportunities with assessment of immediate and longer-term returns
  • Development of new reporting tools to understand business performance and compliment financial reporting
  • Prepare detailed monthly reporting and commentary on performance targets across the company
Criteria
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience of working in a finance function
  • Previous experience working in a similar or in a manufacturing organisation
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Strong analytical skills with experience of communicating findings to cross functional teams
  • Desirable: Previous experience of using Sage 200 | CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified | Previous experience of building and using power BI or similar analytical tools
