Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Forklift Driver in Folkestone. The role involves managing stock, handling materials, and ensuring the smooth flow of components. Ideal candidates will have experience in a warehouse environment, proficiency with counterbalance forklifts, and a full UK driving licence. The position offers a salary of up to £26,000 with additional pay for overtime. Work hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and Friday from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using a counterbalance forklift (expired and in-house licence accepted).
  • A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Organise workshop tools, materials and finished goods.
  • Receipt and inspection of in-coming goods.
  • Identify and move tools to/from the workshop.
  • Provide packaging materials and parts to the workshop.
  • Supply materials to support production.
  • Use counterbalance FLTs, pallet truck and manual handling equipment.
  • Deliver orders to customer sites.

Skills

Job Title: Forklift Driver

Location: Folkestone, Kent

Salary: up to £26,000 with time and a half for any hours over 39 hours

Hours: Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 5:00pm and Friday 7:30am - 3:00pm.

Is a well-established engineering and manufacturing business that specialises in the design and production of components. Supplying to a wide range of industries, they pride themselves on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions that meet the needs of their customers across the UK and internationally.

Role Summary:

You will play a key role in managing stock, handling materials and ensuring smooth flow of components and supplies across the workshop.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
  • Organisation of workshop tools, materials and finished goods.
  • Receipt and inspection of in-coming goods.
  • Identification and movement of required tools to/from the workshop.
  • Supply of packaging materials and ancillary parts to the workshop.
  • Provision of all materials to support production.
  • Use of counterbalance FLT's, pallet truck and manual handling equipment.
  • Delivering orders to customers sites.
Experience and skills required for this position:
  • Previous experience working within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience using a counterbalance forklift (expired and in-house licence accepted)
  • A full UK driving licence
