A leading healthcare provider in Dartford is looking for motivated mental health nurses to join a supportive multi-disciplinary team within their Forensic Community Service. The role involves managing a caseload, providing expert advice, and ensuring patient safety through care coordination. Candidates should have a sound knowledge of forensic psychiatry and excellent communication skills. Oxleas Forensic Directorate provides a range of community and inpatient services amounting to 131 beds, prison in-reach services and specialist forensic aftercare including specialist hostels in the community. The integrated team works across the boroughs of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich.
Due to recent service changes and expansion , a number of vacancies have arisen within the Forensic community service. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established but developing service. We are looking for motivated mental health nurses, to work within a supportive and experienced multi-disciplinary team. The forensic community service is a transitional service, and as such we work in a collaborative and recovery focused manner to enable safe and supportive transitions for patients leaving secure services.
You will gain experience of case management and risk assessment and be responsible for a defined community caseload.
You will have a sound knowledge of concepts in forensic psychiatry and have the ability to work within a model of the multi-disciplinary team. You will also have excellent communication skills and be willing to offer commitment, motivation and a willingness to learn.

The full-time position will focus on the effective facilitation of the depot and Clozapine clinics incorporating our Physical Health Pathway to provide a seamless service to patients:1. To deliver physical health assessments and interventions to patients under the service inclusive of phlebotomy.2. To assist in the management of a clozapine clinic.3. To administer long-acting injections and facilitate clozapine monitoring.
