Footwear Technologist

An established fashion supplier renowned for its menswear, womenswear and childrenswear footwear ranges is currently recruiting for a Footwear Technologist with strong multi-product experience to join their established design and technical team.

As a Footwear Technologist you will be a valued part of the Design and Technical team responsible for ensuring measurement and construction details for design & development packs are advised correctly to facilitate production of prototype samples. Working in collaboration with the in-house design and account management teams you will measure and fit samples during the development process, inputting, updating and monitoring the critical path, assessing and approving bulk fabric & components. You will work closely with overseas head office and factories ensuring any technical issues are resolved along with assessing product test and chemical compliance requirements.

The ideal applicant must have exceptional Footwear Technologist experience working at an established level for a high street retailer, premium or lifestyle brand. Demonstrating strong technical skills with extensive knowledge of fitting, UK and European grading and footwear construction is highly essential, along with the ability to manage outsole and last development.
