Food Technology Teacher – Day‑to‑day supply from as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for Food Technology Teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings in Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

Duties as Food Technology Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and prepare lessons that develop pupils’ cooking skills and understanding of nutrition
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained in the classroom and kitchen
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and positively
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Organise and supervise practical activities and coursework
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and routines
Ideal Food Technology Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Food Technology in UK secondary schools
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for practical learning
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
  • A flexible and proactive approach to supply teaching
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
