Food Technology Teacher - Wigan

Secondary School Long-Term Supply January Start

Food Technology Teacher required for a long-term supply role at a well-regarded Wigan secondary school, starting end of January and continuing until Easter.

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in the Wigan area. The school has a strong focus on high expectations, positive relationships, and inclusive education, with an ethos built around respect, aspiration, and preparing pupils with practical life skills for the future. Staff are well supported, and the department is resourced to deliver engaging and purposeful Food Technology lessons.

The Role
  • Teaching Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Planning and delivering engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Assessing, marking, and tracking pupil progress where required
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive Design & Technology department
The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Food Technology Teacher (QTS, QTLS, or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching Food Technology in secondary schools
  • Confident delivering lessons at KS3 and KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • Available to start end of January and commit until Easter
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply
