Overview

Aramark (NYSE: ARMK) is in the customer service business across food, facilities and uniforms. Aramark UK are recruiting a Food Service Assistant to join our team working at HMP Parc Bridgend, CF35 6AP. You will be responsible for cooking and preparing food according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures. You will safely handle knives and equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Providing high levels of service of food and/or beverages to customers, adhering to the standards set by the company.
  • Performing cleaning and replenishment duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture, ensuring the service area is clean and stocked.
  • Food assembly and service of items in an efficient manner, which may include some light cooking.
  • Monitoring and recording food and equipment temperatures.
  • Handling cash transactions and ensuring accurate cash handling procedures are followed in accordance with company and till procedures.
  • Barista duties.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and as part of a team.
Qualifications
  • Ideally, previous experience within a catering environment. On-the-job training will be provided and must acquire basic food hygiene qualification within first six months of employment.
  • Good understanding of written and spoken English.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Good timekeeping.
  • Must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years and have the legal right to work.
  • Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
