Overview

Food Safety Officer needed in Kingston Paying £19.70 per hr ref 1610183

Full time hours on a temporarybasis

We are seeking a fully qualified and food-competent Environmental Health Officer to cover the duties of a team member currently on long-term sick leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting 120–150 food hygiene and standards inspections across low to high-risk premises over a 3-month period.

Responsibilities
  • Independently carry out food hygiene and standards inspections.
  • Provide detailed inspection reports including legal requirements, best practice advice, and Food Hygiene Rating Scheme scores.
  • Submit inspection paperwork within 48 hours.
  • Conduct revisits where necessary and escalate serious issues to the Lead Officer.
Ideal Requirements
  • Hold either the Higher Certificate in Food Control (HCFC) or the Advanced Professional Certificate in Food Hygiene and Standards Control (APC-Food).
  • Demonstrated experience in food safety inspections.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
