Job description

Overview

Looking for Production Operatives, Monday - Friday (Fixed Hours). Immediate start based in Melton Mowbray. A La Carte (Staffline) is looking to hire production operatives for our well-known reputed client's site based in Melton Mowbray LE13 which produces handmade pork pies. The work is varied and interesting.

Shifts and Pay

Shifts: AM Shift starting at 8am to 4pm plus occasional overtime.

Pay rates: AM Shift £12.35 (Monday - Friday).

Responsibilities

• Produce handmade pork pies by assembling meat and placing them into pastry; place racks into ovens and remove racks from ovens; move racks on trolleys between areas. This role includes manual handling in an ambient/warm environment.
• Mix ingredients to form the gelatinous filling for the pork pies. This work involves manual handling.
• Package final products such as pork pies; manual handling in a cold environment.
• Be comfortable working with meat (pork) products which may be raw and/or cooked, and handle these products with or without gloves depending on circumstances and departments. Full training provided; no previous experience required.

Key Information and Benefits

Opportunity to earn between £463.12 up to £578.90 per week with fixed hours of 37.5 plus occasional overtime. Work available up to Christmas and ongoing into the new year. Overtime is calculated after 37.5 hours.
