Salary G3 £13.05 - £13.47 per hour

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable individual to assist in the production and delivery of school meals. The successful candidate will undertake general kitchen duties including the cleaning of associated equipment. In return, we offer excellent pay rate, uniform and access to training.

Hours

Hours per week: 10 (38 weeks per year)
Times: 11.45am-1.45pm
Note: work hours may vary within the stated hours depending on service needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production and delivery of school meals.
  • Perform general kitchen duties including cleaning of equipment.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
  • Hold or be willing to train for the Essential Food Hygiene Certificate.
Special Conditions
  • Pre‑employment health questionnaire required before commencing kitchen duties.
  • Comply with the Government’s Code of Practice on English Language Fluency Duty – communicate accurately in spoken English with customers.
  • Walsall Council commitment to safeguarding – completion of a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check may be required.
