Qualifications

• Previous experience in food manufacturing is essential.
• Served a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
• Some knowledge of electrical systems including control systems would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide a maintenance service which covers mechanical disciplines.
• Manage routine, preventative, and planned maintenance of the plant/equipment.
• Perform modifications and installations.

Skills

Mechanical repairs and fault-finding skills

Experience in food manufacturing

Use of hand power tools

Knowledge of electrical systems

Welding and fabrication experience

Education

Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering

NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Engineering maintenance or equivalent
