Job description

This is a temporary Food and Beverage Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role involves supporting the dining service and assisting residents with their meals, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and presentation in the dining areas, and maintaining awareness of residents' dietary requirements.

Main duties of the job

As a Food and Beverage Assistant, your key responsibilities will include supporting residents with choosing their meal options, setting dining tables according to standard operating procedures, keeping the front of house clean and well-presented, replenishing fresh cakes, biscuits, finger food, and fruit, and being aware of residents' dietary needs. You will be required to demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene, and previous experience in a similar setting, such as a restaurant or hotel, would be desirable. A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would also be beneficial.
