Forklift Driver – Chilled Warehouse

Location: Tewkesbury
Hours: Minimum 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7 (rotating shift pattern)
Shift Times: Various start times from 05:00
Overtime: Paid at 1.25x after 40 hours

About the Role

We’re currently recruiting experienced and reliable Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join a busy chilled warehouse operation based in Tewkesbury. This is a hands‑on role working across several key areas, including the factory floor, chilled storage, and external loading bays — ensuring products are moved safely, accurately, and efficiently.

You’ll be part of a supportive logistics team, working closely with warehouse supervisors and team leaders to keep daily operations running smoothly. The site operates modern electric forklift trucks with advanced safety systems and ergonomic features to support a safe, efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance forklifts to move, load, and unload goods safely and efficiently
• Support warehouse staff with picking, stock rotation, and replenishment tasks
• Maintain a clean and safe working area in compliance with health and safety standards
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as required
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures at all times

About You

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (refreshed within the last 3 years)
• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment
• Strong attention to detail, good communication, and a positive, proactive attitude
• Reliable and flexible approach to working hours
• Basic numeracy and understanding of health & safety practices
• Experience in a chilled, food, or FMCG environment is desirable but not essential

Additional Information

• Manual handling will be required
• Strict hygiene and PPE policies apply
• Due to shift start times, own transport is essential
