About the Role

We are looking for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Operative to join a busy food manufacturing and distribution site in Tameside.

This is not a full‑time truck role — the FLT will be used for around 50% of the shift, with the remaining time spent on general warehouse duties, manual handling, pump‑truck work, and movement of stock on the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating an in‑date FLT Counterbalance safely and efficiently
• Loading, unloading, and transferring stock around the site
• Using pump trucks and manual handling equipment
• Supporting production and warehouse teams with stock movement
• General picking, packing, palletising and line support where needed
• Completing stock rotation and basic inventory checks
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following site H&S, hygiene and food‑safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Valid & in‑date FLT Counterbalance licence (essential)
• Recent experience operating an FLT in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Comfortable working in a mixed role (50% FLT / 50% manual warehouse duties)
• Physically fit and able to move stock, lift items and support production
• Experience in food manufacturing or food environments preferred
• Able to commit to a 4‑on‑4‑off shift rotation
• Strong work ethic, reliability and good attention to detail
