Overview

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for a couple of Floor Assistants to work for a well established print and packaging company based in Leicester.

They are temp to perm positions

The Job:

Working as a Floor Assistant which is working throughout the factory - assisting both the print and packaging departments

Responsibilities

• Feeding materials into machines
• Taking printed items off the machine (after training)
• Packing of printed items and putting onto pallets
• Stripping pallets
• This is a physical role at times with the lifting and moving of boxes of various weights and stripping and packing pallets.
• Its not physical all the time but there are times when it can be.

Shifts & Salary

Rotating Weekly Shifts - one week 6am-2pm and the next week 2pm-10pm

Salary: £12.21ph

About you

• Previous experience in a print or packaging or role that requires manual work is preferred
• Key skills required are: ability to work both independently and are part of a team, strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Ok with there being heavy lifting at times
• Ok with rotating shifts - there is no fixed shift available for temp to perm jobs
• Have access to transport as there is limited public transport for 6am starts - all other times is fine
• Interested in a temp to perm position - they expect you to become permanent so only apply if this is something you really want
