A local government authority in the United Kingdom is seeking a Flood Risk Management Project Manager to oversee an extensive capital programme and provide supervisory support to their team. This role involves conducting site visits, engaging with stakeholders, and managing project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a degree in an appropriate field and strong project management experience, particularly related to flood risks.
We are looking for someone to manage our extensive Flood risk management capital programme whilst also assisting in the delivery of statutory functions and providing line management and supervisory support to team members.
This role will involve working alongside and providing supervisory support to colleagues in the Flood Risk Management team carrying site visits and site meetings with residents, contractors, developers and land owners to investigate possible solutions to known flooding issues, writing business cases and funding bids and taking a leading role in the delivery of a multi‑million pound project portfolio. Also providing technical advice to Members partners and stakeholders including writing reports where appropriate.
