Qualifications

  • Experience in a respite care setting.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and health and safety regulations.
  • Basic First Aid and Medication Administration training.
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Knowledge of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) or similar approaches.
  • Training in Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vital ad-hoc shift cover on a zero hours contract basis.
  • Offer care and support including personal care for individuals with diverse needs.
  • Respond flexibly to the ever-changing needs of the respite provision.
