Car & Van Technician Needed Near Chorley
  • Working Hours : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm
  • Salary : £18.00 per hour

Our client, a well-established and reputable automotive business, is seeking an experienced Car & Van Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-quality environment with strong support, modern diagnostic equipment, and a friendly team culture.

Key Responsibilities of the Fleet Vehicle Technician :
  • Carry out servicing and repairs on cars and vans to the highest standard
  • Diagnose vehicle faults using the latest diagnostic tools and manufacturer software
  • Perform mechanical repairs including brakes, clutches, gearboxes, engines and electrical systems
  • Service and repair trailers
  • Conduct MOT inspections, preparation and presentation
  • Complete roller brake testing and associated fault diagnosis
  • Accurately complete job cards, documentation and parts usage for service administration
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe working area
  • Maintain professional standards in customer care, workmanship and presentation
  • Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor regarding tooling or additional support required
What We’re Looking For in a Fleet Vehicle Technician :
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle or Commercial Vehicle Maintenance
  • Experienced Technician with strong diagnostic skills
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Own tools required
  • Self‑motivated, organised and able to work to high quality standards
  • A team player with a positive, professional attitude
