Job summary
A leading manufacturing company in Scotland is seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to work within their planned preventative maintenance system. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with health and safety standards, diagnose equipment faults, and assist with projects. Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment and relevant engineering qualifications are essential. The role offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from £17.00 to £22.10, working Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

Job Overview
To maintain a wide range of production equipment as well as general maintenance and installation within the Company's planned preventative maintenance system, on line fault finding and process development on a day-to-day basis, with responsibility for working on one's own initiative during shifts, reporting to Maintenance Lead.
Key Responsibilities: -
* Work as an active part of a skilled cross functional planned maintenance team.
* Ensure correct Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene standards are always
adhered to.
* Ensure a fast and effective response especially under breakdown conditions.
* Quickly diagnose faults and take corrective action.
* Assist and support mechanical engineers with their duties.
* Actively participate in a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the site, constantly
identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce waste.
* Assist in the training of fellow maintenance engineers and others where necessary.
* Ensure planned maintenance work is completed to strict schedules, and constantly
look for improvements that will ensure reliability of equipment is improved.
* Ensure good working practices are adhered to throughout.
* Work on various projects, including installation and modifications to plant and
equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
· Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work
· Problem solving and ability to make decisions.
· High level of integrity and dependability.
· Time Management skills.
We will consider mechanical bias and are looking for experience in a manufacturing / FMCG environment. You will need to hold the appropriate engineering qualifications. (Ideally NVQ Level 3 minimum). Desired: · Broad understanding of Agricultural industry. · IT skills. · Ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
