Salary / Rate: £17+hr plus OT and Benefits

The Role

We are recruiting Fit Out Engineers / Mechanical Engineers to support the assembly and installation of complex mechanical and electromechanical systems within a high-quality manufacturing environment.

These roles suit engineers who value precision, cleanliness and quality of finish, and who enjoy working with integrated mechanical systems rather than rough or repetitive production work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mechanical installation and assembly of complex systems
  • Working with power transmission, gearing and driveline components
  • Installation of hydraulic and fluid systems
  • Precision fitting to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Working to defined quality, safety and production standards
  • Maintaining clean, organised and professional work areas
About You
  • Level 2 or higher engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, apprenticeship or equivalent)
  • Strong mechanical engineering background
  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
    • Aerospace or aviation maintenance
    • Rail or rolling stock engineering
    • Defence or high-integrity manufacturing
    • Heavy vehicle, diesel or plant engineering
    • Marine or complex mechanical environments
  • Direct sector experience is less important than engineering quality and systems knowledge.
