Job description

Here at Total Fire Safety, we are currently seeking an experienced Fire Stopping Supervisor to join our growing team. This opportunity is for someone who not only excels in overseeing passive fire protection works but also enjoys being actively involved in projects, supporting engineers on-site, and playing a key role in delivering high-quality, compliant installations. We are looking for someone who wants more than a standard supervisory role, someone who enjoys a varied workload, is confident in client-facing duties, and is motivated by the chance to contribute to the wider operational success of the business.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working across the East Midlands or Yorkshire regions, with some flexibility required to work away when needed. You will work closely with our operations team, clients, and fire stopping engineers, ensuring that all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and fully in line with manufacturers’ guidance and our third-party accreditations.

What we offer:

We offer an excellent salary of £40,000 to £48,000 depending on experience, alongside a strong package of benefits including 23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, regular pay reviews, travel time paid after the first hour, a private pension scheme, and a company van with all tools provided.

In addition, you will join a high-performing, supportive team, with ongoing training, guidance, and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression. We will invest in you, your development, and your continued success.

Key areas of responsibility:
  • Oversee the installation of fully compliant fire stopping solutions in line with manufacturers’ guidance and our third‑party accreditation, ensuring accuracy, consistency and full traceability
  • Manage a team of fire stoppers, providing ongoing onsite training, technical guidance, performance oversight, and hands‑on support to help drive quality, efficiency, and professional development
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times by enforcing our Health & Safety systems, carrying out daily checks, identifying risks early, and ensuring that all team members follow correct procedures and working practices
  • Deliver detailed progress updates, compliance checks, health & safety reports, and photographic documentation to head office and the Operations Manager, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timely communication
Experience required for the role:
  • Proven background in the fire stopping industry with a strong technical understanding of passive fire protection systems, installation methods, compliance requirements, and real-world site constraints
  • Experience in site supervision, showing your ability to coordinate work, lead teams, and uphold high installation standards with the ability to problem‑solve, adapt quickly to changing conditions, and ensure consistent delivery of quality work
  • Confident using smart devices, apps, or digital reporting tools to log work completed, record evidence, complete compliance documentation, and support efficient communication with the wider team
  • Holder of a valid CSCS card, demonstrating your capability to work safely, follow industry standards, and maintain the professionalism required for operating within regulated environments
