Fire & Security Service Engineer

Salary: Basic up to £34k per year — OTE £40k + (easily achievable) through commission, on-call, and overtime.

This well-established, family-focused fire and security provider has built a strong reputation across southern England and London for delivering high-quality, reliable solutions. Operating from a supportive and friendly base on the South Coast, they offer complete design, installation, and ongoing maintenance services for fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, nurse call systems, and advanced wireless radio fire alarm technology. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to expand their service team with a professional and motivated engineer who shares their commitment to excellent customer service.

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to carry out planned maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and occasional small works across fire alarm, emergency lighting, intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service and maintain fire alarms, emergency lighting, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems
  • Work on fire alarm systems including Advanced, Kentec, EMS, and EDA
  • Use service management software and mobile app to complete worksheets, reports, and updates
  • Carry out small installation day works and system upgrades
  • Perform fault-finding on conventional and addressable fire alarm systems
  • Work with Pyronix, Texecom, Galaxy, Paxton, Hikvision, Dahua, and Wisenet
  • Collaborate within a supportive team living the values: Positivity, Respect, Ownership, Unity, Delivery
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience servicing and maintaining the listed systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong fault-finding ability, excellent diligence, and a positive, proactive mindset
Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 am — 5:00 pm
  • On-call rota: Approximately 1 in 6 weeks
