Job description

Our clien is a notable company providing a range of high-quality Asbestos & Health & Safety services. They are actively seeking a experienced and qualified Fire Risk Assessor based in or around the Hemel Hempstead area. The ideal applicant will have extensive experience working as a Fire Risk Assessor, carrying out in-depth fire risk assessments on large commercial and industrial sites and who is third party accredited. Applications from Luton, Dubstable, Hitchin, St Albans and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Must hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion – Technician status with recognised bodies IFSM/IFPO/IFE/NAFRAR would be preferred.

Ideally, they are looking for an individual who comes from a strong Fire/H&S Consultancy and technical background within the fire industry, having experience in other industries would be beneficial but not essential.

Must have an in- depth knowledge and experience of undertaking fire risk assessments on various properties, including commercial, industrial and public sectors.

Hold excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Be proficient in using the Microsoft Package.

Well versed with the Health & Safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertaking Fire Risk Assessments and Health & Safety Risk Assessments in various industry sectors, including commercial, industrial and residential.
  • Delivering presentations and training.
  • Providing high level consultancy advice.
  • Providing Fire and Safety Guidance and investigating incidents.
  • Producing fire risk assessments reports and ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety Legislation with regards to fire.
  • Dealing with issues effectively and appropriately.
  • Liaising with clients and staff.

The successful post-holder will be of smart disposition, confident, methodical and have the ability to show competency in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments without supervision.

Must be prepared to travel extensively.
