Job description

Our client, a leading multi-disciplinary compliance consultancy, is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor / Health & Safety Consultant to join their growing team in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional with a strong background in both fire safety and health & safety compliance. You will work across a diverse client base, conducting detailed fire risk assessments and providing health & safety consultancy services to ensure clients meet their statutory and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out fire risk assessments across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, and industrial premises.
  • Provide health & safety advice and audits, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practice.
  • Prepare comprehensive, practical, and compliant reports in line with PAS 79 and the Fire Safety Order 2005.
  • Deliver client support and recommendations on fire safety management, emergency planning, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and review health & safety policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering professional and reliable consultancy services.
Requirements
  • CertIOSH qualification - essential.
  • Tier 2 IFSM membership - essential.
  • Demonstrable experience conducting fire risk assessments and H&S audits.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Fire Safety Order 2005, PAS 79, and Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (company car or allowance provided).
