A leading housing association in North East London is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor / Fire Safety Officer to conduct Fire Risk Assessments and ensure compliance across a diverse portfolio of residential properties. Fire Risk Assessor / Fire Safety Officer – Housing Association
  • North East London (Walthamstow, Ilford, Leytonstone, Romford)
  • £47,000 - £57,000 + Excellent Pension + Benefits + Flexible Working

Are you an experienced Fire Risk Assessor looking for a secure, long‑term role within a respected in‑house Fire Safety team?

This leading housing association is seeking a Fire Risk Assessor / Fire Safety Officer to deliver high‑quality FRAs and support compliance across a diverse residential property portfolio.

The Role
  • Carry out Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) across high‑rise blocks, low‑rise buildings, sheltered schemes, community centres and street properties.
  • Manage your programme of FRAs across North East London, working independently and responding to day‑to‑day fire safety queries.
  • Liaise with internal teams, residents, contractors and the Fire Service to ensure fire safety actions are understood and completed.
  • Typically complete 1‑2 days per week on site, with the rest home-based for reporting, analysis and follow‑up.
  • Support the wider team by contributing to QA, mentoring and developing fire safety processes.

This is a great opportunity for a Fire Risk Assessor who enjoys autonomy and delivering real improvements across residential buildings.

What We're Looking For
  • Level 3 or 4 qualification in Fire Risk Assessment or Fire Safety Management
  • Experience working as a Fire Risk Assessor in residential or sleeping‑risk environments
  • Strong knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with residents and internal teams
  • Self‑motivated, organised and confident managing a busy caseload
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
