Fire Engineer job for an established fire engineering consultancy based in Sunderland. The role offers a salary of £42,000 - £50,000 + 4.5-day week + private healthcare + professional development.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage small to medium fire engineering projects, taking ownership of deliverables
  • Produce fire safety strategies, technical reports, and performance-based design solutions
  • Provide technical advice to clients, design teams, and authorities having jurisdiction
  • Participate in design team meetings and site inspections
  • Support junior engineers and graduates, contributing to their development
  • Stay up to date with UK fire safety legislation, guidance, and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Degree qualified in Fire Engineering (BEng/BSc/MSc) and ideally working towards Chartered status
  • Practical experience delivering fire engineering solutions for UK projects
  • Strong knowledge of UK legislation, guidance, and design standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • UK driving licence preferred but not essential
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK as sponsorship is not available for this position.
