Qualifications

  • At least 3 years regulatory & standards expertise in BS476-22, BS8214, IFC, BM Trada.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fitting fire doors to industry standards.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Fire Door Installer - Derby based with Nationwide travel

FAFS Fire & Security specialise in designing, installing, commissioning and servicing automatic Fire Detection, Protection and Alarm Systems in and around Greater London. We are currently looking to appoint a new Fire Door Engineer specifically covering the London region.

FAFS Fire & Security's Fire Door Installers

Lead the Installations of Fire Doors and Passive fire products in accordance with the latest British and EN standards on small and large projects works within your capabilities across the UK, ensuring all works are to a high standard within Health & Safety and Quality company requirements.

  • To lead in the Install of fire doors to manufacturers guidance and in line with our FIRAS third party accreditation
  • To assist in compliant repair and maintenance work in accordance with manufacturer guidance or BS8214.
  • To lead the Fire Door installer, survey, measure and inspect fire doors
  • Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with our Health and Safety system
  • Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Customer Care
  • Assist in application of Passive Fire Stopping, practical experience advantageous
  • Manual handling of fire doors to and from the area of installation ensuring the safety of all individuals in the area
  • Removal of redundant fire doors for disposal
  • Ensuring work area and storage area is always clean and tidy
  • Work as a two-man team at sites across the UK

  • At least 3 years regulatory & standards expertise in BS476-22, BS8214, IFC, BM Trada, FIRAS or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the fitting of fire doors to industry standards.
  • Flexible to work across single and multiple site locations.
  • Demonstrable manual handling experience
  • A driven and enthusiastic individual that relish’s a challenging environment
  • Ability can work under pressure and works well in a team environment or on their own
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
