Overview

Our client is a growing Ventilation specialist, who have recently won new business in the South East region. You will be inspecting and testing existing fire dampers across commercial and manufacturing sites, ensuring they are fully operational and compliant. Candidates must also have experience of undertaking remedial duties, as you will be responsible for rectifying any found issues whilst on site. The ideal candidate will be flexible to client travel requirements. Our client is able to offer good training opportunities, in addition to competitive salaries and benefits packages.

Experience / Qualifications

• Must have experience as a Fire Damper Engineer
• Will hold the Fire Damper Testing ticket
• Working knowledge of BS9999 guidelines
• Will have undertaken Fire Damper testing, inspections and remedials
• Flexible to travel in line with company needs
• Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills

The Role

• Inspecting and testing of existing Fire Dampers, to ensure functionality and compliance
• Fault finding on systems and making recommendations for remedial works
• TEK screw removal & replacement
• Replacement of links and collars
• Fitting access panels and ceiling hatches
• Logging dampers
• Installing and replacing Fire Dampers and associated ductwork
• Producing detailed pre and post work reports with accompanying photographs
• Working to set deadlines and personal targets
