Job summary

A financial services organization in Greater Manchester seeks a Financial Reporting Accountant to handle the Group's external financial reporting, including annual reports and audits. The successful candidate will have an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification and experience in IFRS. The role requires excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, along with attention to detail. This full-time position does not support remote work.

Job description

As a Financial Reporting Accountant you will prepthe Groups external financial reporting including the Group annual report and accounts quarterly interim reporting and subsidiary statutory accounts and related work papers. Youll also assist in other areas such as accounting queries day to day management of external auditors process improvements and ad hoc projects.

As a Financial Reporting Accountant we are looking for someone to :

• Prepthe Group annual report and accounts subsidiary annual statutory accounts and quarterly external reporting to agreed deadlines and periodic financial reporting to support treasury transactions ensuring accurate financial information is produced
• Co-ordinateexternal audit requests ensuring requests are responded to on a timely basis and accurate documentation is provided whilst effectively communicating with the external audit team and Group Finance
• Producestatutory accounts work papers in accordance with reporting timetables whilst also appropriately addressing review comments
• Drafting of quarterly and annual timetables ensuring key delivery dates are met updating on progress and managing stakeholders across the projects

Qualifications : Essential

• Relevant accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Relevant experience in reporting under IFRS
• Statutory accounting audit or management accounting experience
• Effectively communicating and managing senior stakeholders.
• Strong focus on the quality of work with attention to detail
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Desire to learn and develop new skill

Desirable

• Experience with producing statutory reporting for listed companies within a Bank or financial services business
• IFRS9 financial instruments experience
• Experience with derivatives and hedge accounting
• Experience of BI tools
