Financial Planning Manager

Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Berkshire)

Our client is looking for an experienced Financial Planning Manager to guide a group of skilled planners, enhance collaboration across departments, and help shape the next phase of growth for an ambitious, client-focused business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining leadership with hands-on financial planning, mentoring others, and playing a pivotal role in driving both performance and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of financial planners to achieve excellence in client delivery.
  • Oversee paraplanning activities (via the Head of Paraplanning) and coordinate effectively with support teams.
  • Support planners in growing and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring a consistently high standard of advice and service.
  • Represent the planning teams perspective at senior level, helping influence business direction.
  • Contribute to business growth through your own planning expertise and client engagement.
About you

Were looking for someone who brings both technical ability and strong people leadership. Youll have:

  • Demonstrable experience managing or leading financial planners.
  • Chartered Financial Planner status (or working towards it), with a strong background in holistic financial advice.
  • Confidence in using cash flow modelling tools and working alongside technical specialists.
  • A solid foundation as a Financial Planner; an existing client portfolio would be a bonus.
  • A proactive, hands-on mindset, with a genuine passion for helping people succeed both clients and colleagues.
