Job Description

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Interim Financial Controller. This is a Manufacturing company in Northamptonshire; who have recruited for a permanent Financial Controller and need an interim to bridge the gap between the current Financial Controller leaving this month (December 2025) and the new Financial Controller starting in March 2026.

You will be responsible for a clean handover and maintaining stability and confidence in the team during this period. The team are friendly, welcoming and very stable. You will have to be responsible for a finance team of 5, the assignment will be fully office based.

Duties include
  • Managing daily finance operations, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory accounts under FRS102
  • Leading and developing a finance team and overseeing IT
  • Partnering with senior management to deliver objectives and the business strategy
  • Providing financial guidance to UK and European leadership teams
  • Delivering margin improvements through cost efficiencies, pricing strategies, and stock reduction initiatives
  • Representing the company in pension scheme matters and fulfilling company secretary duties
  • Ensuring compliance and auditing group finance policies and monitoring internal controls
Person
  • ACCA / CIMA / ACA Qualified (or equivalent)
  • Able to operate at board level and have gravitas in senior meetings
  • Enjoys mentoring and managing a small accounts team
  • Excellent communicator
  • Able to work on your own initiative
  • Assertive, as you will need to speak with many non‑accounts managers across the business to gather information which will be essential for this role
