Financial Controller | Property Development & Investment

3 - 4 days per week | Gloucestershire (hybrid potential)

An established, property development and investment group is seeking a Financial Controller to provide both hands‑on and strategic support to the business owners.

With a proud heritage spanning decades, the company has evolved into a recognised player within the sector – delivering high‑quality, bespoke developments nationwide.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in guiding the financial performance of a growing, asset‑rich group with multiple entities and a substantial property portfolio.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Directors, you'll take ownership of the group's accounting operations – overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and cash‑flow forecasting, while supporting strategic decision‑making. The position will suit a commercially minded accountant who enjoys combining detailed financial control with forward‑looking analysis and business partnering.

Key Areas of Focus
  • Preparation of quarterly management accounts and financial reports
  • Oversight of cashflow, budgeting, and project costing
  • Management of property portfolio finances including debt, loan, and revenue tracking
  • Development and implementation of financial controls and process improvements
  • Supporting strategic planning through data‑driven insights and variance analysis
About You
  • ACA or ACCA qualified (approx. 3+ years PQE)
  • Proven experience within property, construction, or related sectors
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with confidence advising owner‑directors
  • A proactive, modern approach to financial management and systems
