Job description

Our client is a highly respected, Chartered financial planning practice. They are directly regulated by the FCA and have built a strong reputation for providing clear, tailored advice to both private and corporate clients. The business continues to grow steadily and is now seeking an Independent Financial Adviser to join its established advisory team.

The Role

This is an opportunity to work in a fully independent, client-focused environment, supported by paraplanning and administration staff. The successful adviser will be introduced to clients over time, matched according to their expertise and style, ensuring a good fit for both parties.

The client bank typically consists of households with around £250,000 in investable assets, though larger relationships are available as senior advisers begin to reduce their portfolios. New business flows from introducer agreements with accountants and solicitors, as well as referrals across the advisory team. While there is no pressure to prospect, advisers who enjoy developing new introducers or generating business will be fully supported.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic advice across pensions, investments, protection, and estate planning
  • Undertake fact-finds, risk assessments, and cashflow planning
  • Deliver clear, compliant recommendations in writing and in person
  • Nurture and manage long-term client relationships
  • Work closely with internal paraplanners and administrators to ensure smooth delivery of advice
  • Maintain high levels of compliance and ongoing professional development
Candidate Profile
  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential)
  • Proven experience delivering independent financial advice
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Commitment to professional and ethical standards
  • Self-motivated, but collaborative in a team-based environment
Package & Benefits
  • Base salary £55,000 – £65,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus structure operating on a 2x validation model
  • Paraplanning and administration support provided
  • Access to an existing pool of clients and referrals
  • Introducer agreements with accountants and solicitors in place
  • 22 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • 5% employer pension contribution
  • Group life assurance, critical illness cover, and health cash plan
  • Exam support and progression towards Chartered status
