The Post

An opportunity has arisen for recruitment to the post of Finance Officer within our Treasury Team. The Treasury Team processes, reconciles and releases payments made by NHS NSS and other consortium boards within agreed tight timescales, including Family Health Service payments, supplier invoices and urgent ad hoc CHAPS and foreign payments. Treasury records all general ledger bank account transactions and allocates all sales ledger income to correct customer accounts. We provide a high‑quality service to our customers and by ensuring all income and expenditure is allocated within agreed timescales, we provide up‑to‑date reconciliation of bank accounts.

The Candidate

All candidates should be educated to HNC/HND level (or with equivalent experience), have a pleasant manner and a customer‑focused approach. They should be enthusiastic and self‑motivated individuals, committed to team working and a desire to provide excellent services to customers at all levels. Experience in a similar finance role and, preferably, experience in bank reconciliations is desirable.

Location and Working Pattern

Location – Based in our office in Edinburgh, Gyle Square. Currently hybrid working. Work pattern Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
