A local government organization in the Liverpool City Region is seeking a Finance Manager to support the Education Excellence service. This role involves providing financial management, partnering with key stakeholders, and producing important management information. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in finance, preferably within local government. Applications are encouraged from individuals with disability or care experiences.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the finance service, for a Finance Manager to support the Education Excellence service. This challenging and key role will give you the opportunity to be a lead business partner on all aspects of operational financial management issues within this service.
Reporting to the Strategic Finance Manager - Education Excellence, and as a key member of the corporate finance team, as Finance Manager you will provide a collaborative and business partner approach to supporting the Education Excellence service, including schools. You will be required to liaise and work closely with senior members of the Education Excellence service to understand their business requirements and understand pressures facing the service, whilst ensuring that the service contributes to and works within the Council\'s financial strategy.
The provision of first-class management information to inform decision making at a service level, enhanced with insight and expertise, will help you build effective and trusted relationships with senior officers of the service.
You should have in depth experience in a senior finance role, preferably within local government or the public sector, experience of staff management and a demonstrable record of supporting a complex service as well as a proven ability to adopt a business partnering approach.
