Overview

RG Consultancy are delighted to be working with an excellent, well-established legal firm based in Preston who are looking to add an experienced Finance Manager to their team to lead the accounts function.

Overseeing a small team, this Finance Manager role would be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of financial transactions and ensuring the business is operating within the SRA accounting rules.

Responsibilities
  • Leading a small team of legal cashiers providing guidance and support as needed
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Ledger management
  • Liaising with fee earners regarding completion monies and disbursements
  • Cashflow management and forecasting
  • Monthly management reporting for the Board of Directors
  • Preparation of annual budgets
  • Management of yearend process and liaising with external auditors
  • Leading on annual SRA audit process
  • Continual development of process and procedures
Qualifications

This role would only be suitable for someone with complete knowledge of the SRA accounts rules and has experience of working within a legal environment in a leadership role.
