Overview

We're looking for a commercially minded and collaborative Finance Manager - Business Planning to join our team. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering Heathrow's short-term financial planning and forecasting, driving automation in planning systems, and owning people cost modelling to enhance accuracy and insight. You will also manage a small team of Finance Analysts, providing leadership, guidance, and development.

Responsibilities
  • Leading short-term business planning and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and financial targets.
  • Owning and developing people cost modelling, providing accurate workforce cost forecasts and insights to support business decisions.
  • Driving system automation and process improvements for planning and reporting outputs, enabling faster, more accurate, and efficient delivery.
  • Producing high-quality financial analysis and commentary, including variance analysis, scenario modelling, and performance insights.
  • Collaborating with Finance Business Partners and operational teams to challenge assumptions, validate inputs, and ensure plans are realistic and deliverable.
  • Managing and developing Finance Analysts, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting their professional growth.
  • Ensuring governance and integrity of financial data, maintaining consistency across planning tools and outputs.
Qualifications
  • A finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering.
  • Proven ability to deliver process improvements and drive system automation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring team members.
