Why this role?

  • Big-program exposure: Work at the heart of a multi-project framework with a diverse set of internal stakeholders and delivery partners.
  • Career runway: Be part of a market-leading Power T&D business with end-to-end capabilities across substations, cabling and overhead lines.
What you'll be doing
  • Own the numbers: Build and manage ASTI project budgets; forecast costs and cash; track KPIs and project performance.
  • Control & optimise: Implement cost controls and spot efficiency opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Tell the story: Prepare and present clear, insightful reports to senior leadership; lead the period-end cycle.
  • Cash is king: Monitor cash flow and liquidity; ensure timely payments to vendors and subcontractors.
  • Assure & comply: Coordinate internal/external audits; ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and our Gated Business Lifecycle.
  • Partner for outcomes: Work closely with project managers, engineers, commercial and other stakeholders to align financials with delivery milestones.
  • Commercial focus: Apply sound commercial judgement; NEC Option C/E experience is a real advantage.
  • Ledger discipline: Reconciliations, journals, and validation of revenue and profit.
  • Invest smartly: Support capital planning, evaluate tenders and ad-hoc initiatives with robust financial analysis.
  • Improve continuously: Identify and implement process improvements across finance operations.
