Job description

Equifind have partnered a growing and successful infrastructure company who are seeking to hire a qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) Accountant to report to the FC. The company services a huge infrastructure fund in London Bridge, London. They are in the office 3 days a week and work autonomously and with trust from the senior management. There are roles at the newly and 3-4 year PQE level.

Objective of the Role

As the infrastructure sector keeps expanding a series of new heads are required across the business.

Job Description
Finance Operations and Reporting
  • Prepare financial statements (IFRS and FRS102), including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards for a series of small companies and entities UK wide
  • Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations, to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
  • Reviewing payment runs and ensuring all statutory Company Secretarial
  • Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports for management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and monitor financial performance.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budgets, rolling financial forecasts and long-term planning.
  • Overseeing all Lender reporting requirements are met as per facilities agreements.
  • Ensuring all purchase and sales invoices processed in a timely fashion to maximise the companies’ cash flow position.
  • Organising quarterly formal distributions across the portfolio from SPV up to shareholder level.
  • Own month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accounting principles.
  • Oversee and review the process for completing global VAT returns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and answer inquiries related to financial transactions.
  • Assist in the coordination and support of external audits, liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation and explanations. Schedules and audit queries.
  • Support the finance team on ad hoc queries and requests.
Requirements
  • The new Accountants ideally will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
  • A minimum of three to eight years' experience in total gained ideally in industry but candidates from within audit firms also will be considered
  • Strong Excel skills essential
  • Very strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • A high level of determination, willingness and flexibility to deliver to a high standard against tight deadline
  • Be able to present financial data to a high standard in a clear and concise format
  • Collaborates across the organisation by communicating regularly and consistently to peers
