Butler Rose is recruiting a Finance Manager for a well‑established organisation based in Truro. This role will manage a small team to oversee financial operations, enhance reporting accuracy, and provide insights that drive business decisions. This is a hybrid working role.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee daily finance operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, CIS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits and maintain accurate statutory reporting.
  • Lead and develop a small finance team, promoting high performance and professional growth.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with leadership and other departments to guide strategic decisions.
  • Manage debtor accounts and enforce credit control procedures.
What We're Looking For
  • Relevant experience in a managerial finance role, preferably in project‑based or manufacturing environments.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or actively pursuing one.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including management accounts, budgeting, and audits.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
  • Advanced Excel and financial software proficiency.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
