Finance Manager Manchester Not-for-Profit Up to GBP55K + Excellent Benefits


We re delighted to be working with a values–driven Not–for–Profit organisation in Manchester to recruit an experienced Finance Manager. The Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you ll lead a small finance team and play a key role in providing accurate financial and management information to support the organisation s strategic and operational goals.


Key responsibilities


  • Overseeing the production of monthly management accounts and business partnering packs

  • Delivering variance analysis, cashflows and robust forecasting

  • Leading annual budget production and supporting budget holders with training and guidance

  • Reviewing payroll costs and preparing reports

  • Identifying opportunities for income generation and spotting financial trends

  • Driving process improvements and automation within finance systems

  • Leading and developing the finance team, fostering a collaborative and forward–thinking culture


The Person


  • A fully qualified accountant (CCAB) with relevant experience

  • Strong track record of leadership and team development

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels

  • Proven experience across management accounts, budgets, and reporting cycles

  • Solid knowledge of relevant legislation and accounting principles

  • Strong analytical thinker, able to balance strategic insight with hands–on delivery

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
