Job description

Finance Manager - up to £40k FTE - Launceston (Hybrid) - Full or Part Time (min. 3 days/week)

Trial Balance are delighted to again be working with a long-standing client - a growing, innovative and well-established organisation that is purpose-driven. Working across complex, multi-stakeholder projects, this client has a unique model and multiple income streams. They’ve cultivated a collaborative, people-first culture and their finance team plays a key role in supporting future growth.

Due to continued success, they’re now looking to appoint a Finance Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role which offers a very flexible hybrid model, excellent autonomy and a real opportunity to add value. It would suit someone already operating at Finance Manager level, or an experienced Assistant FM/Management Accountant level looking for that next step. The role sits within a mid-sized and close-knit finance team, reporting in to a senior finance leader with a collaborative and mentoring approach. It’s hands-on, varied and impactful, with exposure to both operational finance and wider stakeholder support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing multiple quarterly management accounts
  • Supporting reporting with financial inputs and narrative
  • Maintaining and updating long-range cash flow forecasts
  • Managing relevant payments and drawdowns in line with legal agreements
  • Supporting with planning, analysis and performance reporting projects
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience preparing management accounts and financial reporting
  • Strong working knowledge of UK accounting standards (qualified or QBE)
  • Strong Excel and (ideally) good Xero knowledge
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset - you’ll enjoy solving problems and supporting colleagues
  • Someone who can communicate financial info clearly with non-finance teams
  • Excellent attention to detail and a genuine team player

There’s no fixed idea on qualifications, it’s about the experience you bring and your ability to work independently, take ownership and contribute to a warm and values-driven environment. You’ll benefit from a hugely flexible working setup, designed to improve work/life balance without compromising the quality of your work.
