Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant status is essential to excel in this role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial understanding are critical.

Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and period-end processes for the site.
  • Act as financial business partner to the Site Leadership Team.
  • Drive cost control across overheads, labour and manufacturing performance.
  • Support product costing and standards with Commercial Finance.
  • Lead business improvement initiatives and site projects.
  • Develop and lead a small on-site finance team.

Skills

Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
Proven experience in manufacturing and/or FMCG environments
Strong background in operational and commercial finance
Experienced in driving business improvement and change initiatives
Confident influencing and challenging senior stakeholders

The Opportunity

As Finance Manager, you'll work closely with operational and commercial leaders to embed strong financial disciplines, improve understanding of site performance and support continuous improvement. This is a hands‑on, influential role requiring strong analytical capability and the confidence to challenge and influence at senior level.

This is a high‑profile role sitting on the Site Management Leadership Team, reporting to the Head of Operations Finance, with a strong dotted line into the Site Director. You'll be a true business partner to operations, providing financial insight, challenge and leadership to drive sustainable performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and challenge budgeting, forecasting and period‑end processes for the site
