My client, based in Lancashire, is a very successful and profitable Distribution/Installation SME with a strong heritage and reputation.

This highly entrepreneurial business has secured significant Investment backing to support its exciting and ambitious growth strategy to exploit a range of new market opportunities.

Operating as FD “finance business partner” to the inspirational MD with full business involvement, this represents a tremendous and rare opportunity for a high potential FC/Head of Finance to take the next significant upward step in their career.

You will be incentivised after a qualifying period with Equity participation on proving your “added value” contribution to the company’s ongoing successful growth trajectory.

The brief

• Operate as part of the Leadership Team.
• Develop a small well-motivated and cohesive Finance team.
• Ensure robust financial controls, cash flow management and operational efficiency.
• Lead financial planning, reporting and analysis.
• Develop MI/KPI's to highlight key business performance trends and proactively support and influence key decision making processes.
• Play a key role in preparing the business for ambitious scale and strategic investments.
• Establish bottom-up annual budgets and regular forecasts across all business operations.
• Stock/inventory control, including Supplier negotiations.
• Active involvement in client tenders and innovative new business opportunities.
• Ensure consistent profit margins are achieved while also delivering strong client satisfaction.
• Act as direct contact with all professional stakeholders – Investors, Bank, Auditors, Advisors
• Overall, play a key role as “right hand” to the MD and Commercial Director to ensure the business achieves its exciting and sustainable profitable growth strategy.
