As the nation’s leading pub, cider and beer company and the name behind a host of brilliant brands, we’re looking for brilliant people to help us on our journey to building a better future. There is a fantastic opportunity available for a Site Financial Controller within the Finance team partnering with our Manchester Brewery.

About the role

The Finance Business Partner is the finance leader at the Manchester Brewery, maintaining a strong governance structure whilst supporting the Brewery Director and site leadership team to deliver the site objectives. This includes monthly performance management and all aspects of forward financial planning and business case construction for major strategic capex projects. Being part of the site leadership team and acting as the right hand to the Brewery Director makes this an exciting and influential role.

Getting close to the operational team and spending time on the shop floor will be critical to success. Building close relationships and understanding the important work of the brewery will reflect in your ability to perform.

Reporting and progression

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Finance, this is a finance leadership role with a degree of autonomy. You will gain exposure to varied stakeholders and manage change in a fast-moving environment. Financial leadership and operational knowledge gained will be beneficial for future HEINEKEN senior finance roles. You’ll be part of a wider finance network, based at our head office in Edinburgh, and offices in London, Tadcaster and Hereford. Colleagues across locations can provide support.

Who we’re looking for

We’re seeking a technically strong and analytically minded finance professional who can build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders regionally and locally across operations and finance. Ideally, you’ll have site financial control experience, or have worked in a business partnering role in the past.

If you have:

  • Experience in cost control, financial governance and driving performance to meet KPIs
  • Experience in FMCG or large multinational environments
  • Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
  • Manufacturing site finance controller experience (ideal but not essential)

Then this could be the role for you.

Our Benefits

As part of the team, along with salary, you’ll also receive:

  • An annual bonus
  • Benefits Allowance (15% of base salary)
  • Company funded Private Medical Healthcare
  • Double matched pension (up to 10%)
  • 35 days holiday
  • A monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers (low and no alcohol options available)

You’ll also have the opportunity to join one of our colleague networks and work with groups across the business to support a diverse and inclusive company culture.

The application

If you like what you’ve read and want to explore this opportunity further, please apply before the closing date listed at the top of the advert. We may close vacancies early where we receive significant numbers of applications, so don’t delay!

If you need any adjustments to support your application (e.g., information in different formats or accessibility accommodations), please contact us at recruitment@heineken.co.uk.

In all likelihood the ideal candidate may not meet every single requirement. We encourage you to apply if the advert has piqued your interest rather than ruling yourself out based on any self-limiting beliefs. We have 150 years of brewing history and are proud of this legacy, yet we believe our best days are ahead. Every colleague has a role in our journey to dream big and grow, with opportunities for development and unique experiences to reach their full potential.
