Job description
Overview

As a Finance Business Partner for Personalisation, you will play a pivotal role within Tesco’s Finance - Customer team, partnering closely with stakeholders across Marketing, Clubcard, Loyalty and Personalisation. This role sits at the heart of Tesco’s strategy to deepen customer relationships, strengthen the value of Clubcard, and deliver more relevant, data‑driven customer experiences.

You will provide financial insight and strategic support across a fast‑growing and high‑impact area of the business - helping to shape how personalisation, AI‑led recommendations, loyalty propositions and customer data capabilities drive commercial value.

This role is well suited to someone with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to influence and partner effectively with senior stakeholders across technology, marketing, data science and broader customer functions.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as the primary finance partner for the Personalisation and Clubcard teams, supporting initiatives relating to targeted offers, loyalty propositions and customer data capabilities.
  • Providing financial insight on the performance of personalised customer journeys, AI-driven recommendations, and Clubcard based targeting.
  • Leading financial reporting for personalisation programmes, including month end performance, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Analysing return on investment for personalised marketing campaigns, targeted offers and loyalty incentives.
  • Evaluating the financial impact of personalisation strategies - including how Clubcard data, targeted offers and AI generated recommendations affect customer behaviour, sales and margin.
  • Working with cross functional teams (Data, Marketing, Clubcard, Tech) to ensure personalisation initiatives align with financial objectives.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in personalisation, loyalty, retailer marketing, or customer data driven environments — e.g., Clubcard, CRM, targeted offers, digital retailing or customer analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data-led decision making; ability to interpret customer data and translate it into actionable financial insight.
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders with confidence.
