Finance Business Partner – North Manchester
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Axon Moore are currently partnering with a leading FMCG business in North Manchester to appoint a newly qualified Finance Business Partner. This client holds a global presence therefore runs at pace however they offer a good environment for professional development and internal growth opportunities. We are working to appoint a finance business partner who will sit within the group function providing pivotal support in the efficient and effective delivery of the Central Services operational results, Budget and Forecast into the consolidated group financial statements and Annual Report.

Daily Duties
  • Contribute to monthly reporting cycles across central and operational areas, ensuring submissions are accurate and delivered on time for group-level consolidation.
  • Provide financial insight and support to senior stakeholders, including executives, departmental heads, and finance colleagues, to guide key business decisions.
  • Support the month-end close process for central and group entities, ensuring proper accounting treatment and robust financial review.
  • Prepare and deliver reliable management reporting that helps identify opportunities for cost control and process efficiencies across the organisation.
  • Assist with the coordination and delivery of central cost centre budgets and forecasts, taking direct ownership of several functional areas.
  • Play an active role in the preparation of executive-level financial reporting and contribute to year-end activities, external submissions, and related deliverables.
  • Ensure financial processes align with internal controls and governance standards to reduce risk and ensure data integrity.
  • Work cross-functionally to support central finance topics, collaborating with corporate finance and other internal teams as needed.
  • Build understanding of internal HR and finance processes that affect central reporting, helping to ensure accurate analysis and interpretation of results.
  • Maintain regular reporting activities and continuously refine outputs to align with growing business requirements and stakeholder needs.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancement and support the alignment of financial practices across functions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure expectations around timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables are clearly managed.
  • Support audit preparation and respond to external audit requirements during key reporting periods.
Personal Profile
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Strong Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Financial Reporting experience in an comparable environment
  • Commercial awareness and a general understanding of an International FMCG environment
  • Experience of the month end close including relative transactions, activities and processes
  • Provide a flexible and adaptable approach to each scenario
  • Able to turn their hands to different scenarios / tasks
  • Previous SAP experience desirable
